U.S Department of Homeland Security United States Coast Guard
The Department of Homeland Security has a vital mission: to secure the nation from the many threats we face. This requires the hard work of more than 260,000 employees in jobs that range from aviation and border security to emergency response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector.
As a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, a law enforcement organization, a regulatory agency, a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community, and a first responder, the Coast Guard employs a unique mix of authorities, broad jurisdiction, flexible operational capabilities, and a network of partnerships. The Coast Guard is the principal Federal agency responsible for maritime safety, security, and environmental stewardship in U.S. ports and inland waterways.
The over 50,000 members of the Coast Guard operate a multi-mission, interoperable fleet of 259 Cutters, 200 fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, and over 1,600 boats. Operational control of surface and air assets is vested in two Coast Guard geographical Areas (Pacific and Atlantic), nine Coast Guard Districts, and 37 Sectors located at strategic ports throughout the country. Five Mission Support Logistics and Service Centers provide services for operational assets and shore facilities.

Our products include digital imaging sensors, cameras and systems within the visible, infrared and X-ray spectra, monitoring and control instrumentation for marine and environmental applications, harsh environment interconnects, electronic test and measurement equipment, aircraft information management systems, and defense electronics and satellite communication subsystems. We also supply engineered systems for defense, space, environmental and energy applications. We differentiate ourselves from many of our direct competitors by having a customer and company-sponsored applied research center that augments our product development expertise.
Teledyne – Instrumentation
Our Instrumentation segment provides monitoring and control instruments for marine, environmental, industrial and other applications, as well as electronic test and measurement equipment. We also provide power and communications connectivity devices for distributed instrumentation systems and sensor networks deployed in mission critical, harsh environments.
Teledyne – Digital Imaging
Our Digital Imaging segment includes high-performance components and solutions from sensors, cameras and image processing hardware and software through highly engineered integrated systems. We cover the visible, infrared, ultraviolet and X-ray spectra for use in a vast range of industrial, healthcare aerospace, geospatial, scientific, government, and defense applications. From sensing to decision support, our technology enables innovative and exceptional solutions for our customers and partners.
Industrial/Machine Vision
Teledyne offers industry-leading image sensors, cameras, image processing hardware and software for imaging systems in 1, 2, and 3 dimensions and wavelengths from x-ray through UV and visible to infrared. Speed, resolution, and sensitivity are our hallmarks, in solutions from cost-conscious standard products all the way to fully custom designs.
Healthcare
World-leading low-dose sensitivity and image quality characterize our digital X-ray detectors, and our products power 90% of the world’s linear accelerators used in cancer radiotherapy. Our success comes from devotion to the needs of our customers and the patients they serve.
